WHAT I DO

My work blends Somatic Experiencing®, coaching, and nervous system education to help people shift out of survival patterns and back into themselves. Whether in a 1:1 session, a group class, a workshop, or a consult with a care team, I create spaces that are collaborative, attuned, and deeply respectful of the nervous system's intelligence and pace. People come to this work feeling anxious, stuck, burned out, or overwhelmed — and leave with more breath, more choice, and a steadier sense of what’s possible.

I don’t see this work as just healing for individual relief. I see it as reclaiming our bodies and restoring our impact in a world that often disconnects us from both.

ethos

THE LENS I WORK THROUGH:
HOLISTIC + JUSTICE-INFORMED

I don’t believe healing can be separated from the world we live in. Our nervous systems don’t exist in a vacuum — they’re shaped by systems, history, and power. My work is grounded in a justice-informed, anti-oppressive lens that honors lived experience and accounts for structural harms.

I bring a deep respect for the body’s intelligence, a commitment to somatic antiracism, and a refusal to bypass the hard stuff. Healing isn’t just personal — it’s relational, political, and collective.

I am trained in somatic anti-racism and follow UCSF's Anti-Oppression Curriculum Initiative (AOCI) guidelines when creating content. I believe this is lifelong work and am committed to ongoing learning in service of personal and systemic decolonization.

story

I'VE ALWAYS STUDIED THE BODY,
IT TOOK BREAKING DOWN TO LISTEN TO MINE

I became enchanted with the human body at age 16, when I took my first physiology class. I excelled in every anatomy course in nursing school — I couldn’t get enough. Looking back, I think part of my fascination came from how disconnected I was from my own body. By my mid-20s, I was deep in burnout, navigating incapacitating migraines and multiple inflammatory and autoimmune syndromes. I knew how the body worked on paper, but I had no idea how to feel or listen to mine. Desperate for relief, I tried everything I could find to ease my pain. After a failed migraine clinical trial, I even ended up in pain rehab. Biofeedback was the first thing that empowered me to guide my own internal shifts. From there, I dove into learning how to work with my nervous system — and nothing in my life was ever the same.

path

FROM HOSPITALS TO HEALING SPACES, AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN

I almost left nursing school after my first hospital rotation. Between the fluorescent lights, the constant alarms, and the assembly-line pace of care, it didn’t feel like healing was happening anywhere. I was so appalled by the environment that I almost switched to design school. Instead, I spent years trying to change things from the inside. I worked in spinal cord injury rehab, adult and pediatric hospice, and other trauma-saturated settings. I studied system design, pushed for trauma-informed care, and burned out hard and fast trying to fix a system that was failing both clinicians and patients.

Later, while navigating my own complex health challenges, I came face-to-face with a system that could name my symptoms but couldn’t help me heal. That’s when I started exploring other paths. I spent my days off in yoga studios and signed up for every alternative healing training I could find. Studying these modalities with a clinical lens helped me see how much was missing from traditional care models — and how much more was possible.

Somatic Experiencing is what brought it all together for me. It shows me why certain practices work, and why conventional care often falls short. It’s the most integrative philosophy of health I’ve ever encountered, and it’s what helps everything I’ve studied, witnessed, and lived make sense.

Now, I bring all of it with me — the science, the systems, the somatic awareness — into spaces where healing can be nuanced, relational, and real.

I believe

Access to resources, safety in our bodies, and the legacy living in our cells are all shaped by systems and structures. In a world built on systems of oppression and supremacist culture, everything is political — and so am I.

health is political

1

The symphony of science happening in just one square centimeter of the human body is enough to assure me that we live in a miraculous world. We are literally designed to heal. When we remember what we’re made of, we return to the innate intelligence that knows how.

bodies are brilliant

I believe healing is about becoming more whole, more human, and more humane. I think it’s most powerful when we learn how to access it in small pauses — right in the middle of real life.

healing is an everyday endeavor

3

Just like the cells in our bodies work together to support the whole, our individual wellbeing affects the health of our communities. Healing isn’t just personal — it ripples outward into how we relate, resist, rebuild, and imagine new ways of being together.

interdependence is our nature

WHAT I SPECIALIZE IN

I welcome working with anyone seeking support in being human — especially in moments that feel tangled, tender, or too much.

With a clinical background in life-altering illness and end-of-life care — and personal experience navigating complex health conditions — I have a special interest in supporting caregivers and those moving through life’s transitions and sacred thresholds. Every session is collaborative and responsive, shaped by your body’s cues, your lived experience, and what’s emerging and needed in real time. There’s space for reflection and integration, with personalized tools to explore between sessions.

trauma patterns

For the survival responses that got stuck — spanning early attachment disruptions, isolated events, and sustained stressors. We’ll work slowly and respectfully with the body’s impulses, supporting release at a pace your nervous system can integrate, creating more room for aliveness, safety, and connection.

mind + mood

For anxiety, panic, freeze, depression, or intrusive thoughts that won’t let go — we’ll follow the body’s cues rather than the story. Through tracking sensation and mapping nervous system patterns, we'll support regulation at the root and gently rewire what’s been stuck on loop.

chronic symptoms

For migraines, IBS, autoimmune flares, fatigue, and other persistent symptoms that may be the body’s best attempt at balance. These conditions often reflect a system stuck in both activation and shutdown. We’ll work with care to build capacity, restore coherence, and support your system in doing less bracing and more healing.

burnout + boundaries

When care becomes a one-way street, or your system doesn’t know how to come down from chronic survival mode. Together we’ll explore how your body says yes and no — and practice what it means to honor those cues. Especially for clinicians, caregivers, teachers, parents, activists, and helpers of all kinds.

relational repair

If connection feels hard or certain patterns keep repeating. We’ll work with protection strategies in the body and build toward more presence, honesty, and ease in relationships. For navigating attachment wounds, trust ruptures, or the desire to feel more connected to others (and to yourself).

grief + thresholds

For loss, identity shifts, birth, serious illness, relocation, and the unknowns in between. Nervous system work can help you feel grounded in change, resourced in uncertainty, and open to what’s unfolding. Whether you're at the edge of something tender or supporting someone who is, we’ll explore tools for what’s hard — and make space for what’s possible.
